SONGS & STORIES
Jannis Raptis – Solo Live
One musician. Many worlds.
Guitar, lute, voice, and a touch of looping — an intimate musical journey through original songs, Mediterranean melodies, folk traditions, and stories from a life between cultures.
The Modern Troubadour
Somewhere between the ancient bard, the medieval troubadour, and the modern singer-songwriter, I found my own way of bringing music to the stage.
With a guitar, a lute, my voice, and occasionally a looper, I move between different musical worlds without the boundaries of a conventional band or genre.
Songs & Stories is my most personal live format — an opportunity to share music, stories, and the influences that have shaped me, directly with an audience.
The Music
My repertoire draws from my two albums, Ansichten eines Troubadours and TRAVELER – The Athens Sessions, alongside traditional and contemporary Greek music, American folk and rock, Mediterranean sounds, and selected interpretations.
Some pieces are intimate and reflective, others rhythmic, passionate, or improvisational. Every song finds a new form through acoustic arrangements, guitar techniques, and occasional live looping.
Rather than recreating studio productions, I let the music evolve naturally on stage.
The Experience
A concert to listen, discover, and connect.
Songs & Stories brings together the intimacy of an acoustic performance with the spontaneity of a musician who has spent years exploring different genres and traditions.
Between songs, I share stories of travel, music, mythology, and the experiences behind my compositions.
The result is a flexible, personal concert evening suited to listening rooms, cultural cafés, intimate theaters, and special artistic events.
Listen & Watch
A selection of original songs, acoustic performances, and musical moments from across my journey.
